"We note that the last version of the HbbTV Specification V2.0.4 focused on improving the accessibility features in HbbTV and introducing better support for voice assistants," the HbbTV Association notes. "As a reminder, HbbTV has a cyclical approach to specification updates, and we launch requirements capture for new HbbTV versions approximately once a year. Our process allows us to work on requirements for a specification while a version is still being turned from requirements into a technical specification. For example, a previous requirements capture process yielded a small number of proposed changes to the then candidate V2.0.4 specification that were combined into the enhanced V2.0.4. The current ETSI published version is V2.0.3 - ETSI TS 102 796 V1.6.1."
Have you features that you would like to see in HbbTV and are not included in HbbTV 2.0.4? Do you have feedback from your deployments, clients, customers about improving features already in HbbTV specifications? We'd like to hear from you to shape the future of Hybrid TV using HbbTV.
The extended deadline for initial submissions is Friday, June 30, 2023. These submissions can be made using HbbTV’s Redmine tool, or by sending us an email with your proposal.
