EBU Highlights Dynamic Media Facilities at IBC2023

Visitors to IBC2023 in Amsterdam this month will have an opportunity to join the push towards a more fluid, interconnected media production ecosystem. The EBU stand (10.D21) will host a meet-up for the Dynamic Media Facility (DMF) initiative, which aims to redefine media production for the modern age.

Media over IP technologies were always just a stepping stone to a completely new paradigm for production infrastructure architectures. With the media industry facing an urgent need to transform, the integration of software-based approaches is a critical part of the solution. An EBU white paper published earlier this year advodcates for media processes that are both adaptable and independent of specific hardware or platforms.
